TeraCopy currently relies on the Windows Explorer copy engine over SMB/local filesystem calls, which works well on LAN and reliable links but degrades badly over long haul or high latency/high packet loss WAN connections (satellite backhaul, cellular bonding, intercontinental fiber links, etc)
Is there any plan to add a UDP based transfer mode (similar to UDT, Tsunami UDP, or QUIC-style approaches) for remote/WAN copy jobs? Even an optional transport mode for non local destinations would be useful for anyone moving large media files (video, RAW imagery, backups) across distance rather than just within a LAN.
Wondering if this has been considered or planned for the future?
